Brittany Murphy as Tinker Bell

Brittany Murphy will voice the lead role in Disney's upcoming animated movie 'Tinker Bell' - the first time the 'Peter Pan' character will speak onscreen.

Commenting on the role, Murphy said: "I've had the good fortune of playing many interesting characters, but none as magical as Tinker Bell. To give Tinker Bell a voice for the first time in history is such an honour."

Dick Cook, Chairman of Walt Disney Studios, said: "Tinker Bell is such an indelible character to pop-culture even without a voice. She is sassy, feisty and independent. Brittany's distinctive voice and superb talent will bring all these qualities to life, as well as show new sides to Tink's personality."

The film will be released in the autumn of 2007.

Jessica Alba joins Dane Cook in "Good Luck Chuck"

Variety reports that Jessica Alba will star in the comedy "Good Luck Chuck" for Lionsgate. Comedian Dane Cook is already attached to the project, which was penned by Josh Stolberg.
In the movie, Cook plays a serial dater gets the reputation that any woman who dates him will rebound into meeting her soulmate. But when he meets his true love, he must find a way to break the streak and keep her from leaving.

The "Click" Star, Kate Beckinsale

Gorgeous Kate Beckinsale looked stunning at the premiere of "Click" on Wednesday night in Westwood. Not surprising, as the 32-year-old Brit is one of the most beautiful women in the world.
What does surprise is seeing her years older in the film comedy (that also stars Adam Sandler as her husband); it's a bit disconcerting, and it really freaked her out a bit, too.
Embracing her witty side turned out to be a natural progression for Kate Beckinsale, although she insists that Adam Sandler and her other co-stars were a big part of making her jokes work and her job easier.
The experience may be gone, but the film will live forever, of course. To see if Kate Beckinsale can make you laugh, be she young and beautiful or old and slightly less pretty, check out "Click," which opens June 23.
