Stardust

A young man named Tristan (Charlie Cox) tries to win the heart of Victoria (Sienna Miller), the beautiful but cold object of his desire, by going on a quest to retrieve a fallen star. His journey takes him to a mysterious and forbidden land beyond the walls of his village. On his odyssey, Tristan finds the star, which has transformed into a striking girl named Yvaine (Claire Danes). However, Tristan is not the only one seeking the star. A king's (Peter O'Toole) four living sons - not to mention the ghosts of their three dead brothers - all need the star as they vie for the throne. Tristan must also overcome the evil witch, Lamia (Michelle Pfeiffer), who needs the star to make her young again. As Tristan battles to survive these threats, encountering a pirate named Captain Shakespeare (Robert De Niro) and a shady trader named Ferdy the Fence (Ricky Gervais) along the way, his quest changes. He must now win the heart of the star for himself as he discovers the meaning of true love.

Halle Berry And Billy Bob Thornton Together Again!

Oscar winners Billy Bob Thornton and Halle Berry will be reuniting for a new film. No, it will not be Monster’s Ball II. This time the pair will star in the film Tulia, directed by Oscar nominee John Singleton. The film is based on the true story of a lawyer who exposed a plot by a small town Texas undercover agent who framed 46 African-Americans for drug charges that were later dismissed by Governor Rick Perry. The incident took place in 1999.

The film is based on the book, Tulia: Race, Cocaine, and Corruption in a Small Texas Town by Nate Blakeslee. Karen Croner wrote the script which was originally to be filmed by Carl Franklin. As Singleton’s best films include his from the heart debut, Boyz n the Hood and the historical drama, Rosewood, one would hope this new film might be a return to form after the recent, more commercial projects.

In a move sure to draw male viewers by the millions, Jessica Alba was cast in the role of Cam in the upcoming romantic thriller good luck Chuck; her co star Dane Cook portrays a man that is considered a good luck charm for women looking for marriage and the price they pay is sleeping with him. With a desire to end his string of one night stands, good luck Chuck is a sexually charged comedy as Dane tried to turn a one night stand into something more with Jessica.

The first time director Mark Hilfrich has certainly been creating anticipation in describing the background of the movie, “It’s a movie for adults, but it’s a hilarious comedy, romantic comedy. … These characters are rated R because there’s some adult language and footage in it. … I read the script, a hilarious script by Josh Stolberg, about three years ago. And at that time the script was PG-rated, PG-13. I took it and worked it into a nice R-rated film.”
